Occupation: Director, Executive Education

What Covid-19 related restrictions are in place where you live? All of Chicago and IL is pretty much shut down. Work (at Loyola- all remote work), schools closed, and my husband is a Chicago Fire Department Engineer, who is still working.

What has been your biggest challenge during this crisis so far?  Work/life balance is upside down!

Describe the emotions you/your family are feeling through this crisis?  Uncertainty of when is the light at the end of the tunnel. In the instant gratification world, slowing down and not knowing when this will end is very unsettling.

What are you doing to help cope? Trying to be a helper. I’m hosting lots of free webinars on using Zoom, Managing Remote Workforce and building out The New Work/Life balance Norms in uncertain times. (Click here for more info on Colleen’s next webinar on 3/27).

If you have a religious background, how has this crisis affected your faith?  Catholic- I’m still watching mass and staying connected to God and my faith/faith community virtually, especially during Lent.

Have you seen any small victories in all of this for you or your family?  Yes- reconnecting with clients and allowing myself to slow down and work on back burner projects.
