Occupation: School based public health nurse

What Covid-19 related restrictions are in place where you live? Non-essential businesses such as spas, gyms, and hair salons are closed. Playgrounds are closed. Schools are closed until May 15th.

What has been your biggest challenge during this crisis so far?  With schools being closed it is day-to-day what I am doing for work.

Describe the emotions you/your family are feeling through this crisis? Fear because as a health care worker I know that this could get really bad for those working in clinics and hospitals. Fear for my grandparents who must stay in their house to have hope of surviving this pandemic. Anxiety from working in the emergency operations center. Stress because daycare is still open but I don't feel comfortable sending them.

What are you doing to help cope? Lots of deep breaths! I consistently remind myself this is new for everyone. We are all trying to figure this out. We are all in this together.

If you have a religious background, how has this crisis affected your faith? I don't have a strong religious background but a coworker does. She prays, a lot. Her strong beliefs help me in that this is out of my hands and all I can do is have faith we will get through this.

Have you seen any small victories in all of this for you or your family? I really do believe this is a chance for families to reconnect. We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives we take for granted what we have. You have to learn to get along and enjoy each others company
