What Covid-19 related restrictions are in place where you live? School and business closings, only essential business are open.

What has been your biggest challenge during this crisis so far?  Keeping my 14yr old son calm. In 2010 I was diagnosed with Marfan Syndrome and had emergency open heart surgery to save my life. My son was 5yrs old when this happened. Life has forever changed for him. I could no longer pick him up or do things with him...it was very traumatic for him. I’m compromised because of Marfan Syndrome. My lungs and heart are the weakest part of my system. My 72 yr old mother also lives with us since he was 3. It’s been 14 days out of school and today was the first day he let me hug him. He is terrified and scared he is going to lose both of us.

Describe the emotions you/your family are feeling through this crisis? Fear...a lot of it. I know if I catch this, I will most likely die and I’ve escaped death on several occasions...this is the most fearful I’ve been. My mom and I have been completely isolated, not leaving the house at all. The 2 people in the house that go to work are stressed to the max of possibly being this home to me and my mom.

What are you doing to help cope? Using dark humor, funny movies, sleep, and music.

If you have a religious background, how has this crisis affected your faith? I am not religious

Have you seen any small victories in all of this for you or your family? Spending lots of time laughing and talking. Trying to make the best of it.
